Hope You can give us some hints!
We are trying to implement the Open Channel in our CRM 7.0 EHP1 system.
We need 2 different files from a Mail Form (1 for the BPs whou should receive a mail and one for the rest og the TG).
The files are going to be used in an external tool.
We are looking for some documentation (more than ind the BADI CRM_MKT_EXP_CAMP_DAT and the two mentioned OSS notes)
And much better, some examples!
We have found the OSS notes 535536 and 672599. And the BADI: CRM_MKT_EXP_CAMP_DAT.
But the problem is that the notes are not up to date (CRM 7.0 EHP1)
The examples concers and old release (4.0).
The note says that if we are going to send mail in the Open Chanel
Badi, we are going to use the FM:
CRM_IM_EMAIL_CREATE_AND_SEND (up to Release
4.0) and CRM_IM_EMAIL_CREATE_SEND_40. But today we use the FM:
CRM_IM_EMAIL_CREATE_AND_SEND (up to Release
4.0) and CRM_IM_EMAIL_CREATE_SEND_51!
The same seems to be a problem when trying to use the FILE EXPORT in
the BADI. The example shows the use of CRM_MKTTGGRP_FILE_EXPORT. I
think it must be an old Function Module!
If we implement the attached code for FILE EXPORT it uses the e-mail
form (Technical: //CHANNELCONTEXT/SMARTFORM) instead of the File Export
Form (Technical: //CHANNELCONTEXT/FILE_EXPORT_FORM). And then we have
an error!
So I think we need another FM to make the File Export example!
Anyone who have tried to implement this BADI in 7.0?
When we use a Communication Medium customized with Communication Method Open Channel a lot of
fields are open in the Web-UI under Area “Channel”.
It seems to be great, that Open Channel gives the opportunity to use all kind of forms from all Communication Methods.
So far - so good. But – it does not seem to be simple
Some of the fields are mandatory (Form for E-Mail, Fax and SMS) – but when I look at the View Configuration they are not marked as
mandatory. Why are some of the fields mandatory and how can we change this?
We only want to use “File Export Form” – but the example code seems not to be able to use this field (as mentioned above).
The standard checks normally used when executing campaigns, e.g. archived BPs – are they executed using Open Channel?
If not – what do we have to do to make them executed?
How do we use the checks for Marketing Permission when executing a campaign with Open Channel?
Another question: Note 672599 ask to maintain the communication medium as described in Note 672599 – the same note! To which note should the reference be?
