Campaign automation follow up Activity status

Hi,

 

We are working on marketing and environment is CRM 7.0 EHP1. Customer have requirement to trigger an activity for each outbound email or contact from campaign.

 

Initial status of the activity will be Invited. When user responds to the email (ex. select yes to attend the event) then activity status should be set as 'Attending', if the user responds no then activity stratus should be 'Not attending'. All these status should be set automatically when user responds to the campaign mails.

 

I have done the configuration given below

 

I have prepared a campaign automation.

Attached target groups to campaign elements.

Communication method is Email and attach the activity templates to communication medium.

Selected the activity template for communication method Email.

Release the campaigns and start executing the campaign.

 

Activities getting generated but status of the activity not getting changed when user responds to campaign emails. Am i missing any configuration to change the activity status?

 

Need your expert inputs.
